The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is anticipated to be signed by all three countries by November 29th or 30th. However, the USMCA watch team is focusing on several areas from a political perspective:
- Threat to deal over migrant caravan to United States;
- Mexico’s unwillingness to sign until the steel and aluminum tariffs are removed;
- Deal will be signed prior to the start of Mexican president elects six-year term; and
- Process of ratification in each of the three countries before the deal can take effect.
