She is also a certified global business professional (CGBP), a credential that demonstrates competency and professionalism in global business management, global marketing, supply chain management, and trade finance. The credential is offered by the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE).

As a former tenured associate political science professor at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC, Dr. Jackson traveled to countries, such as Chile and Argentina, to study their trade policies and trade relations with the United States. Furthermore, she received a Fulbright Scholar/Lecture Award to the Dominican Republic, during which she researched the US-Dominican trade negotiations in the area of textiles and apparel, as well as agriculture. 

Her research has been published in top scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journals such as the Cambridge Review of International Affairs. 

Dr. Jackson also served as a consultant for an Arlington, VA-based firm. During this time, she traveled to and advised governments and the private sector throughout the Southern Africa and Eastern Caribbean regions on leveraging trade agreements to compete globally. 

Her most recent book, International Trade in Services: Effective Practice and Policy, was published by Routledge Taylor and Francis Group in 2021. 

Dr. Jackson has been a TEDx speaker and taught university-level courses for business schools domestically and internationally.

She received her B.A. degree in broadcast journalism and Spanish from the University of Southern California and earned a Ph.D. in political science (emphasis on international political economy) from Brown University. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Because of Dr. Jackson’s extensive knowledge and expertise, she remains a sought-after speaker and trainer for events organized by government agencies, universities, and other organizations.
