On Wednesday, May 31st, students, scholars, government representatives, and businesspersons will come together to participate in the GAP conference, Doing Business in Latin America and the Caribbean. California-based companies will have the opportunity to connect with buyers and investors across various industries via both a video conference and live panel. Leaders from the manufacturing and agricultural sectors will discuss the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.
Over the past two months, some GAP participating businesses from California have been able to engage GRIIT and a select team of students to receive customized global market research. The final research report offers an assessment of each firm’s capabilities in expanding to the best market for its product in Latin America and the Caribbean. Dr. Jackson will share with GAP conference attendees the methods used to complete top quality customized research reports for participating firms. Furthermore, the student team, which is a part of the CSUSB Jack Brown College of Business and Public Administration and Center for Global Management, will display some of their findings in a poster presentation during the conference.
The GAP conference will take place at the CSUSB Student Union Theatre at 5500 University Parkway, San Bernardino, CA 92407 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. PST.Â
